Rising Sophomore at CMU Seeking Investment Banking Advice
Hi everyone,
I’m a rising sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Statistics and Machine Learning, with a current GPA of 3.7. I have a keen interest in breaking into investment banking and wanted to seek advice from this community on the best path forward.
I recently received an opportunity to intern at a Private Equity Fund under the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). I’m excited about this experience but would appreciate any insights on how to leverage this opportunity for a future role in investment banking.
Additionally, I’m curious to know which banks have a favorable view of CMU students. Are there specific banks or programs I should focus on, given my background?
