Rising Sophomore Networking

Hey WSO, I'm a rising sophomore in college hoping to pursue a career in IB. I've a 3.9 at a target school, but I have put absolutely 0 effort into networking. My goal for next summer is to get some IB experience, but I'm not a diversity candidate. I care less about the prestige or size of the firm for next year's internship.  To start, I have already started email alumni for informational-type interviews, but I don't know what steps to take next. Any advice?
