Rothschild SA to FT BB/EB

What are the odds of going from Rothschild (USA) as a Summer Analyst to a BB or EB Full-Time? Also curious what the exit opps and culture are like at Rothschild.

From the people I have spoken with, it seems like a great place to work. Just curious what the general consensus is.

Few non-BB/EB's will give you a better shot. That being said, plenty of kids from lower/mid-tier BB's will be trying to make the jump to top tier BB's or EBs as well. Rothschild is generally considered a top MM bank in the US (sometimes EB status for their Rx practice).

Banks like Rothschild, Jefferies, Guggenheim, etc. are all good stepping stones to BB/EB's for FT. That being said, its still an uphill battle, so while the banks I mentioned might give you a better shot than other lesser MM's or boutiques, your chances are still limited. Make sure you keep in touch with your contacts at the BB/EB's over the summer. Ideally, interview well there at the shops you want for FT and be high on their SA wait list already as well...

Best of luck.

You don't "start" and "end" networking. You should constantly be networking, no matter what position you're in. Never know what kind of opportunities it will create. Networking is a way of life, brah.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

What is a "sub-par" GPA?

The difference between successful people and others is largely a habit - a controlled habit of doing every task better, faster and more efficiently.
