Seeking Advice to Break into Technology Investment Banking - Recent Grad
Hello Everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm a recent college graduate trying to get into technology investment banking, and I'm seeking some guidance and advice. Here's where I stand: I am a non-target, I graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and maintained a GPA of 3.63. While I don't have direct finance experience, I completed two relevant tech internships during my college years one in tech sales and the other as a systems analyst. I want to break into a BB, EB, or Middle Market MM firm that specializes in technology investment banking or anything similar. I've been studying and preparing myself by going through resources like the Mergers and Inquisitions 400-Question Guide and building my knowledge of the tech industry. I haven't been very active in networking yet, mainly because I feel my technical knowledge for investment banking interviews is lacking. At this stage, I'm looking for honest advice from those experienced in the field. Is it worth pursuing technology investment banking with my current situation I want to recruit for FT but it seems like it is too late for that. Just looking for honest advice as well on tips on networking, preparation, or any overall tips!
