Sending a LinkedIN request after asking for information via Linkedin?
When I reach out to people in LinkedIn to ask them questions and they respond. Will it be alright to add them or suggest we add each other?
Also, since a lot of the people are obviously busy, should I also suggest e-mail if they don't want to give me 5 minutes to take my call?
Not having a LinkedIn is a really dumb idea. Everyone has some kind of experience doing some kind of activities, and if you don't, do some. People realize that many 18 and 19 year olds don't have a lot of "relevant" experience, but that doesn't matter. Everyone is on LinkedIn and it's a valuable tool for networking.
As for the actual situation, just get to town updating your linkedin and accept. Why would you reject it for any reason when its a chance for exposure to the program? You are in a world of hurt if this is how you go about approaching situations and want to make it in IBD.
