Senior OCR @ Top Target w/ no exp., strong network: worth it?

just wondering if anyone knows whether it's worth participating in OCR @ a Top Target (Think Penn/Columbia/Chicago) for someone with no IB or Consulting experience (but interesting stuff, think non-profit, multiple languages, etc). There are always a bunch of kids at information sessions who claim to have never worked in the industry and spent two summers on a Peruvian cat shelter before landing that McKinsey gig. any advice? non-quant, but not math retarded. ~3.7 GPA, strong family network should I need it.

i should also mention I will be graduating in Jan, meaning I am open to a Spring internship, but only if it would lead to a full time offer for the following year (not sure if that's even possible).

ideally, I would want MBB or a good boutique investment/PE/real estate, less genuinely interested in banking mostly bc of the culture

thanks in advance
