Should I focus on networking with HR instead of employees for referrals/increase chances of breaking in?
Hi, I'm a 2nd-year student at a semi-target. Getting ready to apply for 2024 summer internships, I know networking isn't really prevalent but I still want to do everything in my power to give me a slight edge when it comes to application.
I started connecting with analysts at BBs and EBs to see if I can name drop on my cover letter but I realised this probably wouldn't get me too far. Some applications have a dropdown referral section and was hoping I could take advantage of that but conflicted on whether it's best of focus on HR/higher ranking employees instead of analysis/associates?
