Should I stay as a Sales Rep for Oracle or take up Management Consulting Position at Accenture?

Hi all.

So I've been working at Oracle the past two years as an enterprise software sales rep in New York. I was promoted from a "Sales Development Representative" (SDR) to an "Applications Sales Rep" (ASR) for high-tech cloud solutions. If I crush my quota here at Oracle, there is a chance I could get promoted to "regional manager" in 1-2 years, where I manage a team of SDRs.

However, I want to get an MBA. I have a 3.8 GPA from Duke University, with a GMAT of 720. I want to ultimately get into f500 corporate strategy, but most recommend that I get consulting experience first post-MBA, preferably at MBB. However, I recently interviewed for Accenture and got offered a job as a management consultant (analyst) in strategy at their Boston office. For my stated goals, and from the perspective of an MBA app, should I continue at Oracle with the aim of getting a management position, or should I jump ship to the management consulting position at Accenture? Or should I network to land a different consulting role?

I think I'd prefer the work of consulting to sales, but my current job is just 40 hours per week and pays well already lol. Also I do no travel for my current job. But I do have more of a passion for consulting. At the same time, if landing that promotion at Oracle would make me look better to adcoms though, I'd stick it out and gun for consulting post-MBA.

Thank you!!

@efweaofjoj23t000 what did you end up doing? I'm in a similar position and am considering a move to Accenture as well. Would love to hear your feedback/thought process.

Also, out of curiosity, which pillar of Oracle are (were) you in? Just trying to gauge your position, as I know some areas (cough cough cloud SMB apps) are tougher than some. Feel free to avoid answering this part of my post if you feel it would compromise your anonymity.
