Should I take the offer or not?

Based on this year's hiring environment, I've been to a couple of Superdays but struck out and was very close to getting a trading position until a certain trading fraud happened.

At the moment I've been seriously considering with continuing further studies to increase my chances of getting directly into a BB. But I just received an offer today from a large financial services company. Although not related directly to the business areas of BBs it provides services to all of the BBs. However, they want me to get back to them within a week and during this period of time I doubt I would hear back from any of my grad schools. May I say, the pay's not bad either, they're offering me about 70% of what an analyst would make + normal working hrs. When comparing this to what a lot of my friends(not wall st. jobs) will be receiving it doesn't sound bad, I'd say I'll be making 30-50% more than what they are.

Do you guys think I should accept this offer or wait for the grad school reply?

Depends on how sure you are about getting into grad school. If you aren't certain you will get into a graduate program you might as well take the job. The pay seems good and it sounds like you will get exposure to BBs.

matty200Are you saying 70% of what analysts make including bonus or not including bonus.

I think it depends on your goals, worst case scenario you can always renege, not that I am suggesting you do that.
