Silly LinkedIn question
This is probably a dumb question - I think the answer is "why not" - but anyways...
Someone to whom I had reached out when I was looking for internships -- 5+ years ago -- connected with me on LinkedIn last year (he added me). He's an MD at a megafund.
I'm looking for a new job...is it fair game to just reach out to him directly? It's been years since we spoke.
Of course - especially since he connected with you. I would shoot him a message just looking to reconnect. Chat with him about where he has been over the last five years, and I'm certain he will be interested to hear about your journey too.
