Silver alpine capital summer internship

I’m a second year at UChicago interested in PE-got interested too late into the IB cycle for my class, so I am currently going to do the 4+1 program (getting a masters one year out of undergrad) so I can start recruiting next year. That being said, I have been looking into finance internships I can get this summer. I got the email from this small PE firm called silver alpine capital to schedule an interview over a week ago, filled out the form and haven’t heard anything back: I set a follow-up email a few days ago and still haven’t heard back at all. Should I send another follow up?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's generally advisable to send a second follow-up email if you haven't received a response after your initial follow-up. However, timing and tone are key. Here's how you can approach it:

  1. Wait a Few More Days: If your last follow-up was just a few days ago, give it a bit more time—around 5-7 business days from your last email—before reaching out again. This ensures you're not coming across as overly persistent.

  2. Polite and Professional Tone: When you do send the second follow-up, keep it concise, polite, and professional. Acknowledge that they may be busy and reiterate your interest in the opportunity.

  3. Template for Your Follow-Up Email:

Subject: Follow-Up on Interview Scheduling – Silver Alpine Capital Dear [Recipient's Name], I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to kindly follow up regarding the interview scheduling for the summer internship opportunity at Silver Alpine Capital. I submitted the form over a week ago and sent a follow-up email a few days back, but I understand you may have a busy schedule. I remain very enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to your team and would greatly appreciate any updates regarding the next steps in the process. Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide to assist. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, [Your Full Name] [Your Contact Information]
  4. Alternative Action: If you still don’t hear back after this second follow-up, it might be worth exploring other opportunities while keeping this one on your radar. Sometimes smaller firms may have delays in their processes.

Good luck with your internship search!
