The way I see it, IB out of undergrad is the key to a top MBA school, which is the true key to the kind of career I want. That said, if it doesn't work immediately I want to leverage my plan B's so I can lateral into IB before it's too late.

  • Keep looking. There are hundreds of MM shops in the US in places I'm willing to move to.
  • Find a finance gig not in IB at a MM shop (equity research, etc.)
  • FInd a finance gig not in IB at a F500 (biz. development, etc.)
  • Find a finance gig not in IB at a small-but-not-irrelevant shop
  • Get another internship (preferably abroad)
  • MSF, full-time or part-time depending on if/where one works
  • If absolutely nothing works out, Peace Corps or Teach for America

That's what I'm considering... hope it all works.

in it 2 win it

Get a shitty job

Work hours like you're in banking

Steal the boss' job

????

Profit.

Nothing short of everything will really do.
