"So which role would you like?"

so had an interview this week and i was been viewed for 3 roles open within the group..so the hiring manager said, "well don't hesitate to give me a call and let me know which role you like better than the other", what does that mean? sounds like a trap? like if i call i don't want to discredit myself for the other 2 roles... how should i phrase this, any thoughts?

It means they want you to decide which direction you want to go in. Most firms want someone to know what they want. If you aren't really interested in or excited for a position, why should they be excited in hiring you? I think you were up for 3 things, they like you for all 3, but they want to know what interests you the most and where you want to be. Saying you are open to any of them will probably get you dinged for all 3. I think your best bet is to pick which one you want most (or think you have the best shot at) and tell the hiring manager that.
