Some advise please

Hi apes,

Am halfway through my masters at a top school in London. I recently interviewed with a PE firm focused on African investments. Ive been eyeing the company for quite a while now and consider it a good fit considering my past experience in SSA investments. I got an introduction with one of the partners and arranged for an informational interview with him. However, the meeting turned out to be a job interview with him, another partner as well as a VP.

In my own opinion, the interviews went quite well and at the end one of the partners asked me to send them details on my availability which I did soon afterwards. One week later and I got an email indicating that they have "kept these dates on file" and will respond to me in June once they have finalised on intern recruiting.

My main concern is that they might be trying to politely let me go. However, one week from now am thinking of sending them an email indicating that am willing to work part-time for free and assist with some of the challenges they are facing (mainly with data considering some of the micro-level investments that they are making in SSA). What do you guys think? Should I go ahead with this move or wait it out till June?

Kind Regards,
JR

i typed this out while in a hurry. Kindly ignore the typos
