It would be better to get an IBD or PE internship, however a corp dev internship can also be a great experience. What will your role be? Will you get to work on M&A?
Someone from my school had a F250 Corp Dev internship where they heavily worked on M&A and valuation. They were able to land a top MM offer and will be returning despite a sub 3.5 GPA, but I will say this isn't that common
