Specializing too early?
I'm currently a rising sophomore at a target school. I'm curious, is specializing in a sector (ie: healthcare, RE, TMT) through clubs, internships, and major going to affect me for junior summer recruiting. Should I represent myself as targeted towards a specific sector?
Currently, I have a good amount of experience in healthcare (bio + econ major, healthcare consulting freshman summer, etc...) and I can easily show myself as a healthcare specialist. Otherwise, I also have more general experience (investment groups, boutique IB experience generalist, etc...).
What is the best course of action when recruiting next spring?
