Spring Internships Chicago/NYC

I'm trying to find an internship for this spring (I know it's a little late. I've been trying). A little background:

I'm an international economics major at a semi-target and I'm finishing up a semester abroad in the UAE. I've completed all of my coursework, but because the semesters here don't line up with the ones back in the States (they adjust for Ramadan), I wasn't able to graduate with the fall '11 class. As such, I'm still technically a student, but won't be taking any classes in the spring.

I'm not expecting a prestigious BB internship, but I'd like to do something productive with my spring. I don't have a full-time in hand, so a lot of my time is going to be spent on networking, applying, interviewing, etc, but I'd like to do more.

I'm interested in AM and S&T mostly, but like I said, I'm not holding my breathe for something baller. I'm from the Chicago area, but have family who I could stay with in NYC.

Does anyone know of any firms that are offering anything? Or, barring that, is there anyone who had a similar experience? Suggestions?
