Spring, Summer, Minorities and Women

Hello everyone,

The more I apply and talk with other students who apply for spring and summer internships, the more I feel you need to be a minority (black, asian, LGBTQ+ etc.) or a woman (if you are both: booster x2) to get into BB. Am I wrong (and so jealous that I try to find an explanation to my failures) or is there any truth ?

its just an entirely different process at this point. Diversity is earlier (so much for targeting people who are historically not aware of banking lmao) than regular recruiting, so non-diversity people have the spots that are left over.

That being said, you just need to compare yourself to the other non-diversity people when recruiting. It's not helpful to be jealous or anything, because that's just the name of the game when you are recruiting for a job that pretty much anyone with a college degree has the intellectual capacity to do.

I asked this question because 20 students from my University had a summer internship this year and 19 of them are minorities/women with the same experiences as me. Because they don't represent the majority of the students, the stats are weird.
