"Stay in touch" response to thank you email?
Hey guys can I get your quick take on this?
Interviewed at a PE shop for 4 rounds, 6 guys in total. 6/6 replied my thank you emails. Ran into an interviewer later that week in town, and he mentioned he liked my chances. So far so good.
Anyway, I had final round with a senior guy. He replied to my thank you email with "it was nice meeting you and learning about you etc etc stay in touch"
Does "stay in touch" basically mean im dinged? Or am I massively overthinking this?
If you have to ask if you're overthinking it, you're overthinking it.
I'm going with overthinking as well. Do tell us when you get the decision, though!
But why would you tell someone to stay in touch if you are going to be working with them?
I wish I would get an answer already so I can stop overanalyzing this like some teenage schoolgirl talking to a crush.
I interviewed with baml 2 weeks ago, and the MD replied to me saying "we will be in touch". I had the same feeling as you did. Then i got an offer. So don't overthink
Hey guys by way of update I got the offer. If anyone starts overthinking on stuff like this - don't!
:)
Did you stay in touch?
