How low of a GPA are we talking about? FP&A, AM and IB all have different GPA thresholds and barriers to entry. FP&A would probably be the easiest to break into through a FLDP program - I know most FLDP programs have a minimum required GPA of 3.0 - 3.30+. Is IB the ultimate goal? I would suggest doing more research on the respective finance careers you're interested in and also be realistic/honest with yourself. Below are some of the "stepping stones" or paths laid out for IB and FP&A:

FP&A --> FLDP at a Fortune 500

List of FLDPs: https://careerservices.upenn.edu/leadership-development-rotational-prog…

Relevant WSO List: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/corporate/best-financial-leadersh… ( a lot more threads on WSO)

IB--> Several paths out of college:

Transaction focused roles like transaction advisory services at Big 4, Valuations, Corp. Dev., etc. (internship or FT) --> IB

MSF at a top school like Vanderbilt --> IB

MBA at a M7 (after a few years working in the corporate world) --> IB

Not too familiar with AM recruiting - maybe someone else can give their 2 cents

For sure - I was in your shoes (low gpa, non-target) and understand the grind. Ended up at a MM and now in corp. dev. Happy to help wherever I can - lmk if you want any other advice/help and I can shoot you a PM.
