Stockbroking Internship

I have an opportunity to do a long term internship at a small stockbroking/portfolio management company in the gap year between my undergrad and masters. Im wondering what role in an IB this would be most relevant too and if its worth going for or looking elsewhere. Only problem is I have a limited amount of companies available to me as I live on a small offshore island. Best I could get elsewhere would probably be a MO role at maybe DB or CS.

From my limited knowledge I think it would be closest to sales and trading, which is ideally where I want to be, what do you guys think, worth taking or look elsewhere?

Thanks

Worth taking. In this market, you can't be picky. Seems to be most closely related to S&T and Private Client Services (stockbroker for the rich).

So after reading all the threads on here regarding stockbroking Ive come to the conclusion that within an IB the closest comparison would indeed be sales. It seems that as a retail broker you would be calling individuals and pitching them stock/executing wheres in an IB you would be calling companies so there would be some crossover?

Seems to be a lot of talk on here about how retail broking is a bit crappy, but will it help me get into sales at an IB, not necessarily BB, if accompanied by an MSc Management from a uk top 10?

Cheers
