Successful Cold Email, Now how to close the thank you
Emailed an alum who I had a conversation with on the phone. He was kind enough to CC me on an email to the head of recruiting in a certain department. I am planning to respond in the same email thread to just him with a thank you.
How should I end it?
"Thank you for putting me in touch with Mr. XYZ, I look forward to talking with him. I appreciate you helping out a fellow SCHOOLNAME alum."
Then what? "I hope to keep in touch"? What are some other options?
. . . Come on man, you need the internet to tell you how to write a thank you email?
Edit: Also the alum line makes you sound like a chode.
yea don't put that last line. "I appreciate the help and something something
Why is it so bad to say thank you for helping out a XYZ school alumni?
So you think just end the email, don't say anything about keeping in touch or good luck to you down the line?
Zeroblued really?
Make sure to thank the guy and tell him you appreciate him taking time out of his schedule to talk to you and you hope to keep in touch
