Summer Internships - Ops internship?

Can someone offer me advice regarding whether or not I should accept an ops internship at a BB just to get my foot in the door? Think GS/MS/JPM ops. The question is would I have the opportunity to move into a better role for a full time job at these banks.

OR

Should I take the risk of losing the BB ops offer and hold out for an interview at a MM bank for a capital market/investment banking internship.

Advices would be greatly appreciated!

If its your senior year, then realize there's a good chance you may not make the leap Junior year, it depends, you'll have to network hard Sophomore year, definitely do it.

I am currently a junior heading into my senior year so I have one summer left for internships. I interned at the MM bank last summer so I have a definite interview with them for a front office position but the problem is that they wouldn't start interviews for another two to three weeks.

Kareypto: what are the likeliness that these banks would extend the time needed to consider the offer

Jber112: I don't mind spending tons of time networking. Just would like to know that I won't be stuck there.
