Summer jobs for first-year students?
It pretty much says it all: I am a first-year undergraduate student and I am currently applying for spring weeks in IBD and S&T.
By browsing on Linkedin, though, I have seen that there are rare (but consistent) instances where some students have some summer work experience related to banking, as if they did their Summer Analyst programme one year before. Not at BBs obviously, maybe Lloyds or similar and still in London.
I was wondering: where do these people get these opportunities? Is there any financial institution willing to land you a summer internship in your first year of uni? Even if you are not a UK citizen?
