Summer Option Opinions....

Alright so I have two options for the summer. Which will help me the most to get a full-time banking offer:

1) Corporate Development for subsidiary of very large (>$6 billion revenue) company - will be working with small team of ex-bankers/consultants. The subsidiary makes about $600 mm in revenue.

2) JP Morgan Securities Services - Doing some kind of technology role that assists their asset management team with money allocation (although no interaction with asset management). I'd be helping out with how to allocate their technology spending.

While the obvious answer may seem to be corp dev, my problem lies with the fact that the name of the company I’d be working for in corp dev. is pretty no name while JP Morgan is much more prominent. The group i'd be working for in JP Morgan also said theyd try to get me into a different front office program for full time (however i really dont know how well this would work out). And, by being at JP Morgan at least id be on the inside of a financial services firm.

So my basic problem is real good name vs. more relevant work. What do you think?
