switching industries from marketing to IB sales

Hi all. I've been working in e-com marketing for about 5 years now as a marketing manager as well as a business acquisition and developer. I want to switch to another industry to sales in IB at an entry & junior position. my current job is quite similar to what sales usually do, looking for a business partner to grow and accommodate them to cross-sell and consult them with market trend

I've gotten a call from hsbc sales position in global market team once before. though I've got rejected from the first round interview, I felt my work experience might not be relevant or neither technical, I want to prepare it to the best of my chance

Does anyone have any tips for someone in my situation? e.g what to prepare & what's the best way to switch industry from marketing + business to IB banking sales
