Take Control of Your City

Alright so an update from one of my previous posts and I hope that you guys can throw some advice my way.

I graduated just recently in May 2013 at the top of my class at a non-target university. As of now I'm interning at a boutique IB and all I'm doing is cold-calling for prospective clientele. The internship started in August and is supposed to end at the end of October, the MD will decide whether or not to give me a position or not.

To me its kind of obvious I won't receive the offer because there's simply no room for me to stay in the office (i.e. I use somebody' else's office when they're not in or I'll just share someone else's office).

Would it be alright if I asked the MD to refer me to other IB's or other PE firms? It's post graduation and I still haven't gotten a FT and it really sucks. I need to take control of this situation and your input would be deeply valued.

Btw whats the view on Doostang and the WSO job board?

Any help will be appreciated!
