Taking summer courses to boost resume

As a hedge fund trader who comes from a non-quant background, I feel like I'm at a disadvantage with regards to getting jobs elsewhere. I was wondering how helpful it would be to take summer courses in C++ and/or calculus. If I do well in those, would it make my resume a lot stronger?
