Does this seem like a reasonable email to send to a professor? I had this professor, but I do not know him well. Email:

This is _____, I was a student in one of your ____ classes this spring. I hope you are having a great summer.
I am currently a rising junior interested in careers in investment banking. Recently, I have been trying to figure out how to break into IB coming from (non-target) and learn more about the local industry to secure an internship for next summer. Many alumni who I have reached out to have told me that the finance professors at ___ are excellent resources for making introductions and knowing about local opportunities.
As someone who worked in the industry and is familiar with the local scene, can you think of anyone you who would be helpful to speak with and you would feel comfortable connecting me with? Please let me know if anyone comes to mind.

Okay two general things: 1.) This is too long as an initial email to someone who barely knows you.
2.)It sort of comes off as if you're not interested in the professor him/her self, only in what you can get out of him/her. That's a big turn off, and not likely to get people to want to help you. Even if that is what you want out of this interaction, that is NOT what you ask for to start. Tell the professor you'd love to talk to him/her about career plans. And if/when you get an in person meeting with that person, THEN you can follow up by asking if there are other relevant people they can put you in touch with. Plus, at that point, they might be able to make better recommendations because they'll have had the chance to talk to you more specifically about your interests.
Also, if they only barely know you from one class you had with them, they're unlikely to want to put you in touch with colleagues of theirs. If you end up being an idiot or a jerk (not saying you are, just that this would be the thought process), and they've put their name behind you, it hurts them with whoever they put you in touch with. So give him/her a reason to want to help you, convince them that you won't embarrass them if they put you in touch with others.
Thanks for the advice. The concerns you addressed are definitely valid, but here is some context that may explain them:
1) An in-person meeting is not possible because I am home for the summer and will not be back to my college's city until January (study abroad).
2) I realize that it is weird asking him for help without knowing him well, but he is the only finance professor I've had and I was one of the best test takers in his class.
