The best option?

Hi everybody I'll go straight to what I've got to offer and see if anybody can give me some advices.

Firstly, I'm located at Taiwan, which is basically a land of despair when talking about ibanking. Especially without a degree with 4.0+ gpa ( in fact gpa is really the thing that tightens my nerves, it's a near-sub 3.0 in tier 2 college)

Secondarily, I'm now in my first few months in a BB bank working as a credit risk analyst in the retail bank side. Typical work involves constructing reports like BASEL CCAR RRTS and some scorecard modeling.

Thirdly, I have a couple of connections in MM banks working as director level telling me to hold on my job for later job opportunities in FO.

What I wished for suggestions is, in what degree of odds am I possible to internal transfer to restructuring role in IBD division of my group? (again a BB bank) Or should I do bschool in Hongkong in order to secure a job in hongkong restructuring team? Thanks for any advices!
