The Same Resume Styles

Hey folks,

With the new recruiting season approaching I get to see tons of resumes for analyst and internship positions. Almost every second resume HR sends me seems to be the M&I resume template. My colleagues argued that they like very similar designs because it makes it easier to screen. I somehow dislike seeing the same resume style over and over but don't let this influence my recommendations.

For those of you who are going to (or did) screen resumes, do you discriminate if applications look all the same? If two candidates have the same profile, will you prefer the one with the more personalized resume? Thanks for your input.
