Also, what are good questions to ask? Should you ask questions to the panel (usually only tools ask economic/firm culture questions) or just chat up with the analysts/associates during the food break?
I always had more success speaking directly with the people attending the event during the food and drink session. If you can try and talk to the more senior people if you are comfortable since they are the ones who ultimately make the decisions. Then again, if you happen to make a good impression on the analyst/associate who is screening the resume, you could have a better chance at them remembering you and picking your resume for an interview.
