Too Late for Sophomore Summer Internship?

Current sophomore here at a no target. My internship at a PWM firm got cancelled. I am aiming to break into IB. Already started networking, studying technicals and all.

Is it too late for me to cold email firms around my area (New York) for an unpaid IB or PE internship?
