Too late to network?
Current sophomore at a non target who’s late to the IB game (was originally going for back office roles). I’m hoping to get a SA role for 2022. Is it too late for me to network starting Monday?
I’m targeting banks such as Stifel, Cantor Fitzgerald, SMBC, and others that haven’t opened apps yet. Any tips/advice on what I should do is deeply appreciated.
Buddy, you are posting literally the same thread that is posted every other week. No you are not too late to network. However, you missed out on quite a few banks (well a little more than just a few), so I would start ASAP. And you literally answered your own question- if they haven't opened apps yet, how are u too late lmao.....

Got it, not trying to be harsh its just a repetitive thing lol. If u go to the get a job forum, there is a thread called complete list of 2022 SA banks, go to that and that should help out a ton.

Don't worry on potentially being too late, realistically you've only missed out with on-cycle EB and a few BB at this point--plenty of opportunities remain. Many boutiques and lower MMs don't even start recruiting until late summer or early fall. Regarding advice, I'd begin to source LinkedIns/emails of alums from your school who are at those banks you've listed (as well as other MMs) and then begin to reach out to them over the coming weeks.
