Transition from audit/controlling to investments sphere

Hi, I would like to get advice on how to transit to corporate finance/ m&a or other investment related function while still benefiting from my previous experience. I have 5 years experience in audit in Big4 as well as gained 2 years experience in fund controlling. I am a member of ACCA and recently completed all 3 CFA levels. I took a 2 years career break for travelling. And now I started to research job market but the only replies from recruiters I receive are the reporting related positions. I would not like to start completely from the beginning and was wondering if somebody has an idea which positions and companies I can aim for to build upon my experience and knowledge received from CFA. I live in Europe and aim for European or Asian market.
