Trash job market or is it me?
Hey fellow monkeys,
I've been laid off from my corporate finance job about a month ago, I've applied to a bit over 200 jobs also in corporate finance but heard back from maybe 10 of them. My CV is decent (formatting & content) so I'm a bit surprised to have such a low response rate (got about 2 YOE).
Is the market really dry or is there an issue with me? Also appreciate some tips for job hunting.

Too much supply of candidates. Fuck all supply of jobs.

Still very trash. Graduated from T15 MBA in May 2025 and still havent found something in Corporate Finance. Recruiters and HR reach out and we talk but never gets past first round. I don't know what to say. I graduated from UG in 2020 peak Covid. I don't know what its like to have a normal job application process

It's ice cold out there for all levels. 12+ YOE, CPA, Consulting + finance backgroun and wasn't able to get nibbles even for crappy FP&A jobs. Thankfully, I was able to find something, but it's ROUGH out there and it took me close to a year to finally have an offer to leave my firm. Best of luck and keep striving. Sometimes, you have to take a bit of a step back to move forward again.
