Turned up for an interview an hour later

So I had an interview today for a summer analyst position at a 2-tier consulting firm (think Booz/Deloitte/Oliver Wyman/...), and I thought that the interview was an hour later than it actually was, so I turned up almost an hour late, and the consultant was not there anymore when I arrived.

I apologised to the lady there, and then tried to call him to apologise, but he didn't answer so I sent him a text message. He replied that: OK, we will reschedule.

So what do you think, do I still have a shot here or not? I already have other options available for the summer, so it's not the end of the world :)

if he said he will reschedule yes. but i mean that first impression is a bit hard to overcome. I once had a similar situation, rescheduled and ended up getting an offer. didnt take it tough

Lol thats what i'm saying. If your cool enough with the person to be able to text him, then i'm sure you should be fine.

Really, man, if you get the opportunity for another interview, you're going to have to kill it. It does look good the fact that he wants to reschedule, though. Marcus, do you think he was just saying that with no intent of following through (especially because it was via text of all things), or do you think he'd actually be open to rescheduling?
