UBS Ops sucks
Just warninig you guys. There is a current senior I know who got ubs ops intern as a junior last year and got a fulltime offer. he accepted because he had no other job offers but applied for ubs equities for FT when it was posted earlier this month so he asked politely his ops team what it is like to transfer and they write him back this MEAN EMAIL about how he signed a contract and has to work in ops.
they pidgeon hole you EVEN BEFORE YOU START! do not do ops guys
I don't think anyone on this site plans on doing ops.
First off, if you signed then you sould have known the consequences ahead of time. If you don't want to work in ops then don't sign and keep on searching. And to my knowledge, unless you are making up this up all I know is UBS didn't give out any FULL TIME offers to this year's summer class for the Ops division.
uhh kbbluearmor just cuz u work in ubs ops doesn't mean u know everything. they did give out offers, they asked some ppl to stay anextra 2 weeks and made individual offers. a lot of ppl didn't get it but there were offers given.. NOOB
And just because you hate Ops doesn't mean you should generalize and hate on all ops division. Matter of fact I don't even work at UBS now.
those who got offers were in finance...big difference from ops.
