UChicago (Economics and Data Science) vs NYU Stern (Finance and Computing/Data Science)

Hi! I'm a high school senior trying to decide between the two programs above. I probably want to eventually end up in private equity or in a hedge fund. I presume that it will be extraordinarily difficult to break into PE/HF out of undergraduate, so I'm aiming to go into IB/MBB post-undergraduate. All of these factors considered, which of these do you think is the better option? I know Stern probably wins on sheer numbers, is it still better than UChicago?

Both top tier schools with UChicago being slightly more prestigious. For IB, Stern is better. For MBB, UChicago has better placement. For buyside, they both send a few each year, with UChicago sending marginally more. I'd say that you should pick based on fit, as UChicago is much more academic and Stern very pre-professional
