UMM/MF PE Analyst Recruiting - Nontarget
Hello all, currently a junior at a non target (non diversity) and did a BB IBD sophomore stint and heading to an EB this summer. I am a bit of a hardo tbh and looking forward see PE as the next step, I think if given an interview with a UMM/MF PE shop I could knock it out of the park frankly. My question is how feasible is it to get an interview from a non target for a PE analyst role even though I have this banking experience? Thank you in advance for the responses!

Why does it matter? Harder than if you were at a target but still possible.
Sorry let me phrase the question better, how do I get these interviews? I got my IB interviews through cold emailing other non target bankers, should I do the same with cold-emailing assocs/VP at these firms or is it a different process? Because I know PE associate recruiting uses headhunters and other processes which I'm not too familiar with
