Alright, so I am from a non-target school but have established a decent resume with a good gpa, solid leadership positions and two pwm internships with BB.
I am a junior and applying for SA positions at all the big banks in NYC.
A few contacts have asked me what area I would like to work in. I guess this means whether I would like to be in AM, PE, IB, ST. Can someone help me understand that main differences for a SA in these industry's? Like what to expect especially after this summer and hoping for a full-time job.
Honestly being from a non-target school but really enjoying finance and feeling I am pretty adaptable I don't have a preference and would just love to have a great SA position at any of the big banks in the city. Yes I would love to work in IB but is that really a possibility for me being from a non-target school and having no major connections in IB?
