Unemployed for 6 months as a fresh graduate

Hi all,

I need some advice and suggestions on what should I do in my situation. To give some background, as I shared in my last post, I had a FT offer which was rescinded last year. After that I managed to find an internship but couldn’t get a FT offer in same bank due to some administrative constraints. I finished that internship in Dec 2022 and have been unemployed since then.

I have been applying continuously and trying to network through LinkedIn but nothing seems to be working. I am an international Masters graduate with good grades and profile but finding something in this down market as an international who needs sponsorship seems to be impossible. I’m targeting Europe- Paris, London & Frankfurt but open to other locations too.

At this point, I am in desperate need of some suggestion or advice. I have no idea what else can I do or some strategical change that I can make in my job search to land a role. Please if anyone have any suggestions, help a bro out.

Have you tried applying for non-obvious finance roles? Auditing still takes place regardless of what the economy is doing, and could provide a route into IB / PE. Have you tried grad programs at the larger corporates?

I presume you don't want to go back to school since you already have a Masters?

Sorry not to have anything more actionable. This market is brutal
