Unsuccessful internship - how to position yourselve after it?
Hey,
I have worked in M&A advisory full-time and then switched the country for a better name internship that had a hiring potential. Unfortunately, it did not work out for me and there was no offer at the end.
Now that I am recruiting for other roles, I get the same question "Was there a hiring opportunity at XYZ? Why did they not extend you an offer?"
I am trying to go about it saying that it was just an internship and I wanted more experience in such a good company etc, that allowed me to come to the country I always wanted to work in.
But I am worried about those background checks and references, that they might just ask if it was a potential full-time role.
How do you guys suggest going about such circumstances?
Comments appreciated.
