Urgent help needed!

Hi all,

I am a qualified accountant in London coming from an audit background. I have a second language from the EMEA region and am trying to break into IB. I’d been messaging a few CF people from the Big 4 on LinkedIn and came across an MD profile in a BB who is a group head and sent him a message. He offered to meet me for a coffee straight away and now I am panicking on how to prepare, what it might cover, etc.

Can anyone help me?

Ok thanks. Is it common for this kind of thing to happen? I'm a bit shocked that someone this senior is willing to meet without even looking at my CV. All I have told him is that I am a qualified accountant from a Top 10 audit background and that I want to use my second language in a job within emerging markets at an IB.

Thanks - what should my aim of the meeting be? In my original message I told him I was trying to get into IB and asked for some advice or any introductions. At that time I was expecting a few messages or names I could try to get into contact with at most but now that I am meeting him face to face, I want to work for him! Any ideas on how I can obtain this?
