USA to Europe to USA
I'm an American strongly considering going to school in Europe. I understand this might not make the most amount of sense if I eventually want to work in the US; nonetheless I see the opportunity to study overseas as a priceless life experience. My question for you all is how hard is it trying to break back into banking stateside if you attended a European university? If I do end up studying in Europe I think I would ideally like to also complete a Msc Finance program, would this help me market myself to US firms? My goal is to go into investment banking (possibly in a sovereign advisory group) and eventually work for a PE firm with a strong international focus. On a quick side note, I would definitely make the most out of my breaks (winters and summers) establishing connections; I consider myself a fairly decent networker given my experience and age. Thanks your help!
