Value of Internal Learning Resources?
So I am working in retail banking at a Canadian big 5 bank and working to position myself for a stepping stone job on my way to S&T. Coming from a non-target school and program I am working to reorient my skills towards finance. In the short term that means the CSC and soon after the CFA level 1.
That said, my bank has an internal Capital Markets "academy" that provides online courses that run anywhere between 12-14 hours of content starting with the basics of IB and moving on up. I have access to it, it is free and marks from the tests can be recorded.
Do other institutions have similar resources? If you have had experience with this sort of thing, how is it regarded compared to other types certifications or courses?
