Verbal offer not converted to written offer after third party interference

Hi all

I was in a rigorous recruitment process for a UMM PE fund in Dubai, after passing 10 rounds of interviews and case studies i was made a verbal offer. Later that week the firm reached out to say that another candidate in the process had disseminated confidential information and the process is compromised and that no candidates will be hired. This seems highly unusual and extremely disappointing given these opportunities to move from a non-hub region to Dubai would have been life changing. The firm basically said there are no remedies and wished me luck even though the incident had nothing to do with me - anyone had this experience?

Need to get back to recruiting but honestly so devastated.
