Virtual Internships?

Hi, I'm a high school senior and I recently applied for an M&A internship...however, it's a virtual internship. I have no idea...is this legit? I've had virtual internships before but have never heard of a virtual finance internship before.

The most important part of an internship is doing the random stuff and talking to guys in the office. Everything they actually need you to do is just a bunch of bullshit (e.g. entering data into a database, getting coffee, getting lunch). If you do an online finance internship you'll get nothing out of it. ...Unless the name is impressive.

On the other hand... I can send you some of my bullshit for you to do virtually and we can call it an internship if you want.

jecI think it'll be awesome for your resume as a high school student. For a serious junior year sa, probably not.
more like a middle man bridging small time buyers and sellers

most likely you will get involve in no analytic/evaluation/modeling but calling for information nonstop, but for high school senior its legit

You don't have to disclose that it was virtual so if it's your only option I would do it. As long as you get good experience.
