Virtual SA2021 London Confirmed
Got insight information from the HR at an American BB who unofficially confirmed that SA 2021 will be online. The programme is still meant to be 10 weeks and full pay will still be provided and conversion should be decent (IBD at least). Anyone got info about other banks or if they have confirmed anything?

My bank said no meetings/trips until post summer. Doubt they’d bring in interns if they don’t allow MDs to see clients... its just a risk management approach, doesn’t cost them anything to have people that basically add 0 value remotely rather than on site.
Starting an off-cycle at a BB in the next coming week and they confirmed it will virtual until the end date (finish date is mid-June)
Which bank have confirmed?
What would be the shortest duration of time it would take to secure accommodation for the summer?
How many people are planning on getting accomodation for the summer now? Or wait for some confirmation
Personnaly waiting until Easter to take accomodation
I already booked but that is because I am from HK, need to come to the UK regardless because of timezones

10 weeks means it’s probs MS. I believe GS, JPM and BAML are 9 weeks.
Heard BofA, MS, PWP, and GS will do virtual as of now

Pan European Monkey Do you know if banks will be nicer with conversion or they will be more prepared and thus assess harder?
1) I don’t work in HR
2) it’s really not at the top of our list currently given how busy we are
3) we get headcount typically in June/July for each team
4) every bank is different but I don’t see changes overnight (ie banks converting 0%), if you are good you get an offer as simple as that

CS had its off-cycle interns in November 2020 in the office on a weekly rotational basis. Maybe they do it for SA as well.

And Lazard didn't open SA applications this year (all incoming interns signed from spring weeks)

Not even true, you do realise this was intake was for SA 2020, the intake happened before COVID, the spring conversion is for 2021 so get your facts straight. Thanks
