Wall Street With an Accounting Degree
Hey all, So i'm in undergrad right now getting an accounting degree. I enjoy accounting-but I also have been raised as a spoiled rich kid, so I figure I have to have a job making 250K+/yr when I get out(maybe not RIGHT away, but soon enough.) Anyhow, I don't think being a bean counters going to get me the lifestyle I want. THus, what kind of Wall Street careers would be good for me, with my accounting degree that I can make $$$? Thanks!
There are many accounting majors in IBD and PE.
Sorry, new here...IBD and PE?
Are you a freshman?
LOL, your a junior and you are not familiar with IBD and PE. LOL give up now. Most juniors looking at ibanking already have internship(summer analyst) offers by now.
IBD is investment banking and PE is private equity.
If you're looking for a 250k job (which you won't necessarily get your first year out, but possibly by year 4) is going into investment banking and then transitioning into private equity, venture cap, a hedge fund or stay in banking.
Ask daddy to get you a job...j/k
UMiami ... OKish GPA for a non-target ... no clue what IBD and PE are. Wait a second, scratch out the "j/k".
